Daily Blocker
Privacy Policy
Last updated July 25, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how DALY APPS PTY LTD ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Daily Blocker, our Android app for blocking distracting apps and websites.
Daily Blocker is designed to work mainly on your device. Your block lists, schedules, usage insights, and website blocking rules are intended to stay local to your device unless you choose to contact us, make a purchase, or use a feature that clearly involves a third-party service.
Daily Blocker is configured to exclude app data from Google cloud backup. If you choose Android device-to-device transfer when setting up a new phone, Android may transfer local Daily Blocker data from your old device to your new device.
Information We Handle
Daily Blocker may handle the following information to provide app blocking and website blocking features:
- The list of launchable apps installed on your device, which is accessed locally so you can choose which apps to block. Daily Blocker does not send this installed-app list to Daly Apps or use it for advertising. Only the apps you choose to block are saved as part of your local block list.
- Apps you choose to block.
- Websites, domains, or website keywords you choose to block.
- Schedules, time limits, and blocking preferences you create.
- Local usage insights, such as screen time, blocked attempts, active days, streaks, and activity trends.
- Basic app settings, permission status, and feature preferences.
This information is used to make Daily Blocker work. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Local Storage
All core Daily Blocker data is stored locally on your device. This includes your selected blocked apps, blocked websites, keyword rules, schedules, and usage insights.
Daily Blocker allows Android device-to-device transfer for local app data so you can move your Daily Blocker setup to a new phone during Android device setup. Daily Blocker excludes app data from Google cloud backup.
You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the relevant data inside the app where available, clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the app.
Daily Blocker's core app usage insights, blocked apps, and blocked-attempt history are designed to stay on your device unless you choose to contact us, make a purchase, or use a feature that clearly involves a third-party service.
Accessibility Service
Daily Blocker uses Android’s Accessibility Service only to detect when an app you have chosen to block becomes active and to display the Daily Blocker blocking screen. The service is used solely to enforce blocking rules that you configure.
Daily Blocker does not use Accessibility to read what you type, including passwords, messages, payment details, personal content, or screen contents.
When Daily Blocker prevents access to a blocked app, it stores limited blocked-attempt information locally on your device for Insights. This may include the app name or package identifier, date, and blocked-attempt count. Daily Blocker does not sell, share with third parties, or transmit this Accessibility-derived blocked-attempt history off your device.
Accessibility access is optional and controlled by you. You can enable or disable it at any time in Android settings.
Android Usage Access
Daily Blocker may use Android Usage Access to show local usage insights, such as screen time, app opens, device unlocks, notification activity counts, trends, and related summaries. Daily Blocker does not use Usage Access to read the contents of your notifications or messages.
Usage insights from Android Usage Access are processed and stored locally on your device. They are used to show your own screen time and activity information inside Daily Blocker. We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, or send it to our servers for profiling.
Android Usage Access is optional and controlled by you. You can enable or disable it at any time in Android Usage Access settings.
Android VpnService and Website Blocking
Daily Blocker uses Android VpnService to run website blocking on your device. VpnService lets Daily Blocker run local DNS filtering, so DNS domain requests can be checked against the websites and website keywords you add in the app.
Daily Blocker makes website-blocking decisions locally on your device. It is not used to provide a remote VPN server, sell browsing data, inject ads, or redirect traffic for monetization.
Website blocking is optional and controlled by you. You can enable or disable it in the app or Android settings.
Daily Blocker checks DNS domain requests only. It does not inspect webpage contents, passwords, messages, payment details, or full app traffic content. Blocked website attempts are stored locally on your device for Insights, including the domain, date, and blocked-attempt count.
Allowed DNS requests are forwarded to your active network DNS resolver or fallback DNS providers, currently Cloudflare DNS and Google DNS, so websites and apps can load normally. Daily Blocker does not route traffic through Daily Blocker servers and does not use DNS data for ads.
Purchases and Subscriptions
If you make a purchase or subscribe through Daily Blocker, payment is processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
Daily Blocker uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status and premium entitlements. RevenueCat may process purchase and subscription information, including product identifiers, subscription status, transaction or purchase-token information, an anonymous app user identifier, and limited technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and the last time the app communicated with RevenueCat. This information is used to verify purchases and unlock the correct features.
You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Support, Waitlist, and Communications
If you contact us for support, join a waitlist, subscribe to updates, or submit a Daily Blocker website signup form, we may collect the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, preferences, your message, signup context, and any details needed to respond to your request.
We use this information to reply to you, provide support, send requested updates, and manage our communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing or update emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails where available.
We may use Brevo to manage website signup forms, mailing lists, requested updates, unsubscribe requests, email delivery, and consent records. If you sign up through a Daily Blocker website form, Brevo may process your email address, optional form fields you provide, consent or subscription status, form or source metadata, timestamps, unsubscribe status, email delivery events, and email engagement information such as opens or clicks where enabled.
Notifications
Daily Blocker may ask for permission to send notifications related to app features, blocking status, reminders, focus sessions, or subscription status. You can turn notifications off at any time through Android settings.
Data Retention and Deletion
Data stored locally in Daily Blocker remains on that device until you delete it, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. If you choose Android device-to-device transfer, Android may copy eligible local Daily Blocker data to your new phone. The original data may remain on your old phone until you remove it.
Support emails, waitlist details, website signup records, communication records, and purchase-related records handled by third-party providers may be kept for as long as needed to provide support, manage subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.
Brevo signup and contact records may be kept while you remain subscribed to updates or as needed to manage unsubscribe requests, keep consent records, comply with anti-spam and legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
To request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold about you, contact us at support@dailyblocker.com.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we handle. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Daily Blocker is intended for users aged 18 years and older and is not directed to children or minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe that a person under 18 has provided personal information to us through a support request, website form, or other communication, please contact us. We will review the request and delete the information where required.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
