Daily Blocker

Terms of Service

Last updated July 25, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to Daily Blocker, an Android app provided by DALY APPS PTY LTD ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using Daily Blocker, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Daily Blocker Does

Daily Blocker is a self-control and productivity tool. It helps you reduce distractions by blocking selected apps and websites, setting schedules and focus sessions, blocking websites by keyword, and showing local usage insights.

Daily Blocker is not a medical service, therapy service, parental-control service, enterprise-management service, or general privacy or security VPN. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

You are responsible for choosing the apps, websites, website keywords, schedules, time limits, and blocking rules that work for you.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Daily Blocker. By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using Daily Blocker, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use Daily Blocker only for lawful purposes.
  • Configure blocking features responsibly and according to your own preferences.
  • Use Daily Blocker only on devices you own, control, or have lawful consent to manage.
  • Keep control of your device, permissions, Google Play account, and subscription settings.
  • Not use Daily Blocker to monitor, restrict, or control another person's device without lawful consent.
  • Not misuse, disrupt, copy, modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the app's source code except where permitted by law.
  • Not use Daily Blocker in a way that harms us, other users, third-party services, or the security of any device or network.

Permissions and Device Features

Daily Blocker uses Android system features to provide its core functionality. Some features may not work unless you enable the permissions or settings they require.

Daily Blocker may use:

  • Android Accessibility Service to detect when an app you have chosen to block becomes active and to display the Daily Blocker blocking screen.
  • Android Usage Access to show local usage insights such as screen time, app opens, device unlocks, notification activity counts, trends, and related summaries. Daily Blocker does not use Usage Access to read notification or message contents.
  • Android VpnService to run local DNS filtering for website blocking and website keyword blocking.
  • Notifications to show reminders, schedule alerts, focus-session updates, or protection status.
  • The installed launchable apps list so you can choose which apps to block.
  • Battery optimization settings to help blocking features continue working reliably in the background.

These permissions are controlled by you. You can enable or disable them through Daily Blocker or Android settings. If you disable a required permission, the related feature may stop working.

Accessibility-derived blocked-app attempt history and Android Usage Access insights may be stored locally on your device for Insights so the app can show blocked-attempt counts, screen time, app opens, and related usage summaries.

Hard Mode and User Control

Hard Mode is designed to make blocking harder to bypass inside Daily Blocker. It may remove the Continue option from block screens and add a delay before disabling blocks or schedules.

Hard Mode does not remove Android system controls. You remain able to manage Android permissions, VPN settings, Accessibility settings, app settings, and uninstall options through Android.

Android VpnService and Website Blocking

Daily Blocker's website blocking feature uses Android VpnService to run local DNS filtering on your device. It is used for website blocking and website keyword blocking based on the choices you make.

Daily Blocker is not a general-purpose privacy VPN, security VPN, anonymity tool, or remote VPN provider. It does not provide a remote VPN server and does not route traffic through Daily Blocker servers.

Website blocking may require Android VpnService consent. Android allows only one VPN-based service at a time, so other VPN apps or VPN settings may prevent Daily Blocker's website blocking from running.

Allowed DNS requests may be forwarded to your active network DNS resolver or fallback DNS providers, currently Cloudflare DNS and Google DNS, so websites and apps can load normally.

Blocking Limitations

Daily Blocker is designed to help reduce distractions, but we cannot guarantee that every app, website, browser, domain, keyword, or workaround will always be blocked.

Blocking can be affected by:

  • Android version, device model, and manufacturer restrictions.
  • Disabled Accessibility, Android Usage Access, VpnService/VPN, notification, or battery settings.
  • Battery optimization, background restrictions, or task killers.
  • Other VPN apps or VPN settings.
  • Private DNS, encrypted DNS, browser DNS-over-HTTPS, browser proxy settings, or in-app browsers.
  • Links that open installed apps instead of browser domains.
  • Network changes, captive portals, DNS provider behavior, or connectivity issues.
  • Third-party app changes, website changes, redirects, alternate domains, subdomains, or cached content.
  • User configuration, deleted rules, inactive schedules, or expired time windows.

You are responsible for reviewing your settings and confirming that blocking works as expected on your device.

Subscriptions and Payments

Some Daily Blocker features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Prices, trial availability, subscription periods, renewal terms, and included features may be shown in the app or on Google Play.

  • Payments are processed by Google Play.
  • Subscription status and entitlements may be managed through RevenueCat.
  • We do not collect or store your payment card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account.
  • Uninstalling Daily Blocker does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

Billing, subscription management, cancellations, and refund requests are generally handled through Google Play and are subject to applicable Google Play policies. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, remedy, or consumer guarantee available to you under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes and Availability

We may update, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for technical, security, legal, compliance, commercial, or operational reasons.

Where a material change adversely affects a paid feature, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice where practicable. Any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

Communications

If you submit a Daily Blocker website signup form, join a waitlist, subscribe to updates, or contact us, you agree that we may use your provided contact details to respond to you and send the communications you requested.

We may use Brevo to manage website signup forms, mailing lists, newsletters, product updates, unsubscribe requests, email delivery, and consent records. You can unsubscribe from marketing or update emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails where available.

Even if you unsubscribe from marketing or update emails, we may still send transactional, legal, purchase, support, security, or important service communications where needed.

Privacy

Your use of Daily Blocker is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how Daily Blocker accesses, handles, stores, uses, and shares information.

Third-Party Services

Daily Blocker may rely on third-party services such as Google Play for payments and app distribution, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management if used, DNS providers for allowed DNS requests, Brevo for website signup forms and communications, and support or communication providers if you contact us.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, or another reasonable method. Your continued use of Daily Blocker after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

The public version of these Terms should be available at dailyblocker.com/terms.
